How To Add Mathematical Equations in Microsoft Word 2010 Microsoft Word is program that is widely utilized by teachers and professors to write notes and question papers. You can use Microsoft Word 2010 to easily add mathematical expressions, equations and formulas to documents. You can use built-in equations or can produce 1 for your own. Event you can save your equation in Equation Gallery for further use. Instructions:
- Point your cursor in the document exactly where you want to insert an equation. If you want your equation to be centered in a

- Click on the "Insert" tab at the leading of the page, point to "Symbols" group and then click on the arrow subsequent to "Equation".
- It will show built-in equations. If you want to use built-in equation then click on that equation, otherwise choose "Insert New Equation".
- It will also open "Equation Tools" in the "Design" tab.
- To insert built-in equation to your equation, click "Equation" and select any built-in equation.
- Click "Professional", "Linear" or "Regular Text" to change the format of the equation.
- Build the equation by typing typical alphanumeric characters (like 1, two, 3, four, five, & a, b, c, d, etc.) from keyboard.
- To insert special symbols like Greek letters or scripts, go to "Symbols" group, presently Fundamental Math symbols are selected. Click an arrow next to "Basic Math" category to show all the categories of various set of symbols. Select any category you want to choose then choose any symbol to insert into your equation.
- There are number of structures are present like "Script", "Fraction", "Radical" etc., from their drop down choose any structure or insert any placeholder to place your own values. Click every placeholder and insert a symbol or alphanumeric character.
- To add your equation to the "Equation Gallery" for further use, choose "Equation" then at the bottom of the list click "Save Choice to Equation Gallery".
- Enter info about the equation, and then click "OK".
